Picture(s) of the Week

This has always been my favorite picture of my kids. I can remember the day so clearly! They are kneading out dough to make soft pretzels. Brennan is happily persisting at the task at hand, just plodding away..."We're supposed to keep on doing this, right?" Brooke is having a ball, but very keyed in on the camera and making sure that she is noticed (somehow Brooke ALWAYS gets noticed). I can hear her, "Take a picture of ME, mommy!!" Bethany, of course, has her dough already rolled out into a proper rope shape and is making sure that everyone else is "OK" and doing what they're supposed to do - AND she has her nails polished!!
This picture is one of the most recent that I have of the three of them together. It was taken in March at Downtown Disney in Orlando. I think Brennan has grown a few inches since then. WOW...time sure flies & YES, we've been having fun too :)

Oh my! I can't believe how they have grown. You have such a beautiful family, and such sweet kids. I miss them! I hope your Sunday Services went well today. We celebrated our Church's 20th anniversary today and had a huge potluck fellowship afterwards... I'm ready for a nap! :-) Don't worry even though we had Kailua pork, I still miss those mystery meat sandwiches. :-)

Yes! that was Luka in the picture! We took his wedding pictures! He married a charming and wonderful Japanese girl, Reiko. Its a brilliant match and we had great fun with them. I can email you wedding pics if I can pry them from Abram :) Or perhaps we could show you all of them in person!!! that would be fun.

That's adorable! I have recently enjoyed too much "help" in the kitchen. I can't do anything in there without Jonas and Ella quickly scooting their chairs to the counter to quickly "help" me turn a 5 minute project into 30! This picture reminds me to slow down, not get frustrated at the "waste of time", and enjoy every minute. I'm sure I will all too soon be posting a picture of them all grown up and I'll be sitting at my blog pining away for the good old days of too much "help". Thanks Cathy!

CHRISTINA & JEN - Let me just go on record as stating that I ALWAYS, CLEARLY made (and continue to make) ham (plain, ordinary, obviously HAM). I did pass up "something" on Sunday, though...

Oh I know you did. Trust me your food was ALWAYS good. Why do you think we were always hanging out at your house? :-) For the food and a spot on the floor for a nap. Ah... those were the days! :-)

definitely - we were not suggesting that your food was bad. i definitely remember eating way to much at your house.

What I wouldn't do for another afternoon nap on the floor with some football on in the background.

I love the "dough boys" roasted over an open fire with lots of butter and cin/sugar and all the kids memories.

Hey y'all!
I finally found your sight. I am doing well, Anne has 4 weeks to go, Titus is growin', and I just went fulltime at FedEx. Wow if Brennan keeps it up he will pass Scott. We miss you all and would love one day to get up there and visit. For now, this blog thing will have to do.
