Well, Anne asked - and the Big White Thing in the front of the church is... a Big White Thing!!!! It's a canopy of sorts that my niece used at her wedding. We really don't have any good pictures yet of the church. Here are some pics of the canopy during the rehearsal and at the wedding. (Sorry for the poor quality - these are NOT from the photographer!!) Not a whole lot of decorating in the church...some flowers (hydrangeas) on some pew ends, some white petals down both sides of the middle aisle(on either side of where the runner would go), then when the runner was out the flower girl dropped red petals. Also some bouquets of white hydrangea-like flowers in the front.

Thank you for the pictures to satisfy my nose trouble!! My sis got married in June and had only 2 large flower arrangements at the front of the church...no other decorations! People who came to the wedding were expecting lots of decorations since my sister is an interior designer, but she wanted to keep it simple...and simple but beautiful it was! Once the bridesmaids and bride and groom get onto the platform...you don't need many other decorations...
